As of Nov. 4, "Twilight" fans have a soundtrack to go with their vampire romance.

Released about two weeks before the movie, the "Twilight" soundtrack has climbed to the top of the Billboard Top Album chart. This indicates just how hard Twilight fans have been bitten by the "Twilight" bug -- or vampire, in this case.

A poet by the name of Ishmael Reed, embraced the term "HooDoo." This term referred to religions of the New World and the concept of exploring spiritual practices outside of these customary faiths. In 1971 with his new collection of poetry, Reed created the term "NeoHooDoo," which expressed his collection as a spiritual, multicultural inventive.

In its never-ending quest to promote the latest up-and-coming music to the college demographic, mtvU held its fourth annual Woodie Awards on Nov. 12 at New York City's Roseland Ballroom. As someone who's been pretty active in the college music field for the past three years, I was able to look past the teleprompted Woodie jokes and industry self-congratulation to realize a struggle for supremacy.

Last Tuesday night, concertgoers at the Rathskeller turned a deaf ear to the background noise of clattering spatulas for the return of Kevin Devine, accompanied by the Goddamn Band.

Devine is a Brooklyn native, and the autobiographical hit, "Brooklyn Boy," from his latest album, "Put Your Ghost to Rest," was one of the highlights of the night's sequel performance.

"Quantum of Solace" is a curious animal indeed. It can't seem to decide what it wants from its hero, its audience, or itself. The obvious purpose of the film is to continue the evolution of the Bond character that began with "Casino Royale" in 2006, arguably the greatest Bond film ever made.
